spacer image Saratoga Springs is located in the extreme southeast corner of Death Valley National Park. The easiest access is from California Highway 127, about 26 miles south of Shoshone. From this point, the route follows dirt roads, and a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Drive the Harry Wade Road 5.9 miles west and turn north on the Saratoga Springs Road. In about four miles, this road ends at a small parking area. Walk a few hundred yards further uphill to the north for a great view of the springs and associated wetlands.

Suggestions for your visit

spacer image Since water is so rare in Death Valley, Saratoga Springs attracts a variety of birds and other wildlife. Bring binoculars and take the time to explore this wetland area. Remember that this is a sensitve habitat, so be careful not to disturb the vegetation and wildlife.
