Chestnut Oak Disjunct is an isolated stand well removed from the established normal range of chestnut oak. Few, if any, chestnut oaks occur within the intervening 50 to 60 miles to the border of its normal range. This is the southwestern-most location known in Mississippi, and thus, the southwestern-most state within the tree’s range. Ownership: Private.
