Overview of the EarthScope Project
EarthScope is a major undertaking of the National Science Foundation (NSF) and will examine the movement of the North American tectonic plate. This project is unprecedented, and is compared to being an “MRI” of the deep, internal portion of our continent. It is expected to help us learn a great deal about the faults, movement, and geodynamics that have and continue to shape our country and any of its national parks.
