Atmospheric Deposition Monitoring
Wet deposition of atmospheric pollutants has been monitored in Craters of the Moon NM&P since 1980 as part of the National Atmospheric Deposition Program/National Trends Network (NADP/NTN). The site ID is ID03. No dry deposition estimates are available for the area.

Night Skies
Night sky monitoring at Craters of the Moon NM is scheduled for completion in Fall 2005, with a report due in 2006. The optical measurement will produce not only a measure of night sky brightness and identification of light pollution sources, but also a measure of the effect of the atmosphere on light scattering caused by fine particulates and other air pollutants, and moisture.

Ozone Monitoring
Ozone has been monitored in Craters of the Moon NM&P with a continuous analyzer from 1992- present. The EPA AirData site ID is 160230101.

Visibility Monitoring
Visibility in Craters of the Moon NM&P is monitored as part of the Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) network, using an aerosol sampler (1992-present) and an automatic 35mm camera (1982-2001).
