2007 Ozone Standard Exceedances in National Parks
The level of the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for ozone is 0.08 ppm, daily maximum 8-hour average. The ozone standard is exceeded at an ambient air quality monitoring site when the 3-year average of the annual fourth-highest daily maximum 8-hour average ozone concentration is greater than 0.08 ppm, which occurs when the 3-year average equals or exceeds 0.085 ppm (85ppb). The table below counts the number of days when the daily maximum 8-hour average ozone concentration equalled or exceeded 85ppb.

| *Validation level 0 indicates raw data. Validation level 1 indicates preliminary data. Validation
level 2 indicates final, validated data. Counts of days with 8-hr average ozone greater than 85 ppb may change after the data is fully validated. The ozone season runs from May to September for the detailed current ozone conditions. During the winter more limited numbers of locations and web products are available. |

Current Ozone Conditions in National Parks
This map below is produced by and accessed from the cross-agency US government web site AIRNow in partnership with NPS. The ozone season runs from May to Sept for the detailed current ozone conditions. During the winter more limited numbers of locations and web products are available.

The color-code dots for parks show the recent hourly ozone as the Air Quality Index (AQI). See chart below.

A map of current ozone conditions across the United States is available.
Ozone forecasts and maps for today and tomorrow are also available.
Current Ozone and Weather data for national parks is available in table format on the NPS web site.
