Announcing the 2013 NNL Photo Contest
We are pleased to announce the start of the 10th Annual National Natural Landmarks (NNL) Photo Contest! For the past 10 years, photographers from around the country have been submitting spectacular images of the scenic and diverse natural heritage found within the nearly 600 NNL sites nationwide. Please help us continue this decade-long tradition!
Winning photographs from this year's contest will be prominently displayed in the 2014 NNL Calendar.
National Natural Landmark sites are located on both public and private lands. Some sites are very well-known and close to metropolitan areas; whereas others are more off-the-beaten path. Please visit the NNL Directory to identify which NNL sites are near you and open to public visitation. Only photographs of designated NNL sites are eligible for this contest. For questions regarding a site's location or any access restrictions, please contact the appropriate NNL Contact as determined by state.
Each person can submit up to three photographs to the contest, but each photograph must be from a different NNL site. Please note: images of the 13 NNL sites featured in large format in the 2013 calendar will not be accepted. Be sure to check out the photo gallery of winning images that appear in the 2013 calendar.
Entries will be accepted through June 30, 2013 and winners will be announced in September. Each photograph must be accompanied by a separate Entry Form. Please read the Official Contest Rules for additional information and submission instructions.
